30 Oct Our 5 fave NZ Music Festivals
Ah, the great kiwi summer is warming up and we’re looking forward to attending some of our favourite music festivals to celebrate throughout the season. After a few excited discussions (…debates) we’ve put our heads together and decided on our five favourite NZ music festivals. We thought we’d share them with you…
- Rhythm and Alps
There’s no sweeter way to celebrate in the South Island than Rhythm and Alps – especially for New Years Eve! The festival runs between December 29th – 31st and is held in Cardrona Valley, Wanaka. This event features over 50 international and local acts, has epic sound and lighting and is arguably the best music festival in the country.
- Laneway Festival, Auckland
Laneway is a travelling festival covering locations across Australia, Singapore and will be in Auckland on 28th January 2019. Laneway boasts a large line up of emerging and established artists and “showcases what’s fresh for genuine lovers of music”.
- Electric Avenue, Hagley Park, Christchurch, Feb 2019
Electric Avenue celebrates music and art in Hagley Park, Christchurch. This 12-hour event presents more than 25 acts across three stages. A great day/night event with an awesome atmosphere, this festival will be held on 23rd February 2019.
- Rhythm and Vines, Gisborne
This premier festival brings music and camping to Waiohika Estate in Gisborne and runs from 29th – 31st of December. Rhythm and Vines has a great line up of music acts and is widely recognised as one of the best festivals to ring in the New Year.
- One Love Festival (26 – 27 Jan 2019)
If you’re looking to rock out to roots, rock and reggae music, this is the festival for you! This is a two-day event with both international and national music acts, held in Tauranga in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. One Love has consecutively sold out in advance for the last three years, so if you want tickets, get in quick!
We’re stoked about our summer line up, but to put the icing on the cake PARA’KITO™ have released new ‘Party Edition’ Refillable Mosquito Bands in four new stylish designs. While we were carried away daydreaming about all the fun that festivals bring we almost overlooked the common nuisance of mosquito bites. These new bands are suitable for any social occasion so now we’ll definitely be having a bite-free blast, all summer long. To check out the new range click here.
